ROOTED

Join us in investing in what God is building.

For Jesus' Kingdom.  For the Joy of our City.  For Generations to Come.

There are defining moments in life when God invites us to take radical steps of faith. These moments are stretching, but ultimately lead to our deeper joy, freedom, and dependence on Him.

This is one of those moments.

For the last decade, God has faithfully met us, shaped us, and grown us. Now, he is inviting us to put down lasting roots to establish a permanent kingdom presence in the San Fernando Valley where people can encounter the life-changing love and truth of Jesus for generations to come.

Will you join us in putting down roots in Los Angeles for the glory of Jesus and the joy of our city?

Make A Pledge Today.

We believe God is inviting us to put down roots to establish a permanent kingdom presence in the San Fernando Valley where people can encounter the life-changing love and truth of Jesus for generations to come.

Let’s respond in faith together.

THE VISION

ROOTED is a vision to put down lasting roots in a place God has already been faithful. By purchasing this 6-acre property in the San Fernando Valley, we are investing in the Kingdom of Jesus, the joy of our city, and the generations who will follow us. This is more than securing a property. It’s a faith-filled commitment to long-term presence, spiritual formation, and gospel impact. We believe what we build now will shape lives far beyond this moment.

For Jesus' Kingdom

This building is a tool for the gospel — A place where the good news of Jesus is taught, people experience hope, and lives are transformed by the presence of God. Owning our space strengthens our ability to see the Gospel advance and God's Kingdom reign on earth.

For the Joy of the City

As a church, we exist for our neighbors, our city, and those who have yet to experience the scandalous grace of Jesus. Ownership allows us to serve our city with stability, generosity, and long-term presence in a world that is constantly changing. Our Mercy & Justice ministries (like our ESL classes, weekly food distribution, single moms support group, and on-going care for foster children and vulnerable families though partnership with our local Department of Child and Family Services) are a consistent and tangible reflection of Christ's love.

For Generations to Come

What we build now will shape what future generations inherit. This is an opportunity to claim space as Jesus’ — where people can encounter the living God, experience life in His family, and be transformed — not just for today, but for generations to come. This is about a spiritual home for children not yet born, stories not yet written, and leaders not yet called. A rooted church creates room for lasting fruit.

Have Questions About The Rooted Campaign?

FAQs

What are you asking me to do?
We are asking you to prayerfully seek God and ask what sacrificial gift he may be leading you to pledge toward the purchase of our church property in Chatsworth. As he leads, we invite you to step forward in faith by committing to give a specific amount.
What is a pledge?
A pledge is a commitment to give a specific amount toward the purchase of our church property in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. It is not a donation collected immediately — fulfillment will be requested contingent upon our offer being accepted, likely toward the end of March 2026. Your pledge helps our leadership team determine whether we are prepared to move forward with our offer, so please only pledge what you are able to give.
Why now?
After five years of renting this church property in Chatsworth — and being told that a purchase would never be an option — God has graciously and miraculously opened a door we never expected. This property is now on the market and will be sold, either to us or to another buyer. What once seemed unlikely is now an extraordinary opportunity to establish a permanent home for ministry, deepen our presence in the community, and step into the future God has for us with faith and confidence.

How much will it cost?
$6.25 Million

This will secure the purchase of the property — establishing a permanent home for our church's future. Every gift beyond that will allow us to faithfully care for these buildings, address long-deferred maintenance, and prayerfully pursue strategic renovations as we continue to grow and make room for more people to encounter Jesus.
Is Restored LA in debt?
By God’s grace, our church carries zero debt. We also have $360,000 in savings that has been set aside specifically for the purchase of this property.
What is the anticipated timeline?
By April 1, 2026, we expect to learn whether our offer has been accepted. If it is, we will enter escrow and begin receiving pledged commitments as we step forward in faith toward a permanent home for our church.
Why can't we continue renting?
We would have gladly continued renting this space, but the denomination that owns the property has chosen to place it on the market. In the near future, this property will belong to someone — either our church or another buyer — which means continuing here as renters is no longer an option. While temporary venues like local schools could serve as short-term solutions, they lack the permanence and reliability needed for the future God is calling us into. And the reality in Los Angeles is that renting any comparable space would likely cost tens of thousands of dollars each month — so there simply isn’t a low-cost alternative waiting for us.

After seeking wise counsel from trusted leaders both within and outside our church, we are confident this is a unique and timely opportunity God has placed before us. Purchasing this property allows us to establish a permanent home for ministry, deepen our roots in the community, and prepare for the future God has for us with faith and confidence.
What happens if we exceed our goal?
Every gift beyond our goal will allow us to faithfully care for these buildings, address long-deferred maintenance, and prayerfully pursue strategic renovations as we continue to grow and make room for more people to encounter Jesus.
What happens if we don't reach our goal?
Our first response will be to celebrate God’s grace and carefully evaluate our next steps with wise counsel. If we are within a responsible range, we are prepared to explore financing options that would allow us to move forward while protecting the long-term financial health of our church.

If we choose to proceed with the purchase, pledged commitments would be expected and would go directly toward the down payment. However, if the gap proves too significant to move forward with wisdom, all pledges would be released and no gifts would be collected.

Throughout this process, we remain committed to prayerful, transparent, and responsible stewardship.
How is the Rooted campaign different from my regular monthly giving?
Your regular giving fuels the ongoing ministry of Restored — supporting weekly worship, discipleship, outreach, and care for our church and city. ROOTED is a separate, one-time initiative focused on securing a permanent home for the future of our church. We encourage everyone to continue their regular generosity while prayerfully considering how God may be leading them to participate in this special season.
Can I fulfill my pledge over time?
Yes. While it will be most helpful to have as many of the pledges fulfilled as soon as we request them at the end of March, we are open to conversations where pledges need to be fulfilled over the coming months and possibly the year.

Please email nadia@restoredla.com to discuss fulfilling your pledge through a monthly process.
Can I give non-cash assets?
Many people choose to give through appreciated stock, business interests, donor-advised funds, or other creative avenues. If you would like to explore these options, our team would be honored to help guide you. Email stephen@restoredla.com with any financial questions.
How should I decide what to give?
We encourage everyone to begin with prayer — asking God to guide both the posture of your heart and the size of your gift. Generosity is ultimately an act of worship and trust in his provision.

God does not ask the same thing of everyone, but he does invite each of us to respond faithfully, generously, and sacrificially with what he has entrusted to us. As the apostle Paul reminds us, “the gift is acceptable according to what a person has — not according to what he does not have” (2 Corinthians 8:12).
What if I still have questions?
If you have any questions or would like help processing your commitment, our leadership team would be honored to assist you. Please email nadia@restoredla.com to connect with a leader in our community promptly.
What if I am currently unemployed or in debt?
God is faithful in every season, and your worth is never measured by a financial gift. If you are walking through a difficult financial season, your first priority is wise stewardship — pursuing stability, reducing debt, and caring well for the responsibilities God has entrusted to you.

At the same time, generosity is ultimately about the posture of our hearts, not the size of our contribution. For some, participation may take the form of a financial gift; for others, it may begin with prayer and a growing desire to trust God as he provides.

God calls each of us to respond in faith according to what he has entrusted to us. For some, sacrifice may mean giving in a way that stretches their comfort. For others, it may mean creatively leveraging resources. The goal is not equal amounts, but a shared posture of faith and participation.

We encourage you to seek the Lord and respond in freedom, never from pressure or comparison. If you would like guidance in budgeting, debt reduction, or cultivating healthy financial habits, our leadership team would be honored to walk alongside you. Please email nadia@restoredla.com if you would like resources to help you navigate this season.
Are there resources to help me think biblically about church buildings?
Yes — here are two helpful articles that explain the importance of sacred spaces.

While the church is not a building but a people, Scripture also shows that physical spaces can become meaningful places of worship, mission, and community life. A permanent home is not about comfort or status; it is about creating a stable base for ministry, discipleship, and gospel presence for generations to come.

These articles offer wise, biblical perspectives that remind us to hold both truths together: we are a sent people, and at times God graciously provides places that strengthen that sending.
